A blog (short for Weblog) is a web page that serves as a publicly-accessible online journal.  Thousands of new blogs are being created every day, for all sorts of purposes. Also, the definition of a blog continues to evolve.  Rather than exist to catalog someone's personal life, many blogs serve as discussion communities about particular issues and are becoming versatile marketing tools for businesses.  For example, many blogs now have more than one author and are becoming more of a regularly updated on-line journal as a means to interacting with your users.  Blogs are a fantastic way to keep users informed about changes to your site or organization.

The Blogs module allows you to add blogging functionality to your site.  You can setup individual blogs for different authors and group blogs together in any configuration you desire.  Blog navigation is handled through the Blogs Navigation module which will add archiving and search capabilities to your blog.  The Blogs module makes adding a blog (or blogs!) to your site a snap.
